Creating
a Presentation
Transferring
Data
When transferring your presentation to CD/DVD Rom or
USB Memory Stick make sure you include any external video
clips or picture files utilized in your presentation. It is
helpful to store all files associated with one presentation
in the same folder.
Using Pictures
• JPEG (.jpg) images are the preferred file format over
GIF (.gif) or Bitmap (.bmp).
• Resolutions higher than 72 dpi will not enhance the
quality, they will only unnecessarily increase the
file size of your presentation.
Using Movies
• Save all Movies as MPEG (.mpg) or AVI (.avi)
• Use only standard compression codec’s used by
Windows
• Include the actual MPG or AVI file in the folder that
is submitted
• Please keep in mind that many videos can be as effective
at lower resolutions
Fonts
• ONLY STANDARD WINDOWS installation fonts such as Arial,
Verdana and Times Roman will be supported.
For MAC Users
• Save all picture files as JPG or BMP NOT TIFF
• Save all movie files as MPG or AVI NOT QuickTime
• Remember to include the actual MPG or AVI file in
the same folder as your presentation.
• Be sure to check the presentation(s) on a PC before
submitting
• Use common cross platform fonts such as Arial, Courier
and Times New Roman
• Limit animations, not all animations transfer cross
platform
