Submitting a Presentation for Onsite Use

How to Name Your Presentation

Please remember, there are many speakers at Board Review. To avoid PowerPoint presentations mistaken with others of the same name, DO NOT name your presentation “2010ASN”. To help with cataloguing and retrieving, you must save your presentation as the following:

Format: Date_Name_ShortTitle.ppt
Example: 082910_ScottSmith_kidneyfailure.ppt

Breakdown of example:

o Presentation Date: 082910 (format is MMDDYY for August 29, 2010)
o Name: Scott Smith
o ShortTitle: kidneyfailure

ACCEPTABLE MEDIA FOR ONSITE PRESENTATION SUBMISSION

• USB memory sticks
• CD-R, CD-RW - When making a CD be sure to FINALIZE the session. If the recording session is   not finalized the CD may not be accessible from any other computer.
• No personal laptops will be accepted onsite.

To ensure the success of your presentation remember to make a backup copy of all files and transport that media in a separate piece of carry-on luggage.

NO 35MM SLIDES WILL BE PERMITTED

NOTE: Any materials left unclaimed at the conclusion of Board Review will be destroyed.

SPEAKER READY ROOM CHECK-IN:

Check-in at the Speaker Ready room is required no less than 4 hours prior to your presentation. It is highly recommended that faculty check in 24 hours prior to your presentation if possible. Because of the heavy use this room may receive, it is suggested you plan accordingly. We strongly encourage you to review your slides in the Speaker Ready Room to ensure all images, animations, and transitions as well as Greek characters and graphs transferred successfully.

If you have any questions please contact AVMG at 214-343-2864 or by email at asn@avmg.com.
